A BRIDE has revealed how she was able to afford her wedding on a budget, after sharing that her bridesmaids wore £30 high street dresses, and that she held the reception in her mum's back garden.
Jos Westwick said that she and her husband had around £2000 to spend on the wedding, and added that she also had help from her parents and grandparents.

Instead of splashing out on a venue, she chose to have the reception in the back garden of her mum's house.
She told Fabulous: "Luckily my mum has a bar in her garden, so we hired a local bartender from a pub to work in our bar for the night.
"Luckily we had nice weather, and everyone was able to sit outside for the whole evening".

For entertainment, Jos asked her granddad and his friends, who are jazz musicians, to play for everyone.

She said: "They played on the veranda whilst everyone was eating and drinking, it was really nice".
One of Jos' favourite parts of the wedding, was the DIY photo both, which she made by converting the garden shed.

She said: "We never would have been able to afford out own, and everyone thought it was amazing."
Jos also chose to do her own makeup on her big day, and decked her bridesmaids out in £30 Jane Norman dresses.

Another way that the bride chose to save money on her big day, was to have her grandma, who used to be a wedding cake maker make the wedding cake.
In addition to this, Jos' mum made all the food, using groceries bought from the supermarket.

"It was no mean feat, but she smashed it out of the park", Jos said.
Jos spent months growing flower pots, which she used to decorate the tables at the reception and also used supermarket flowers for her bouquet.
The couple also saved cash, by hand-making decorations for the wedding, such as signposts, wedding favours and pew ends.
"These are things which you would usually pay a venue thousands for", she said.
"Making them all ourselves saved us the most money".
Jos shared her top tips for anyone thinking of having their own budget wedding: "Having a budget wedding is obviously going to be more work than paying for someone to do it for you, but its going to make everything so much more personalised".
"If you're willing to put the work in, the reward is so much greater.
"I'm so glad we did it the way we did it, and if I had a chance to do it all again, I wouldn't change a thing".
Jos shared details of her budget wedding via a video posted to her TikTok channel @jos.westwick.
The video has racked up 190,000 views and TikTok users raced to the comments section to share their thoughts on the budget wedding.
One person said: "That’s what my daughter did.
"Wise, fun! Family is the most important."
Another person said: "Absolutely timeless. I wish more weddings were like this."
